Spiritual Coaching

What is Spirituality?

And what does being "Spiritual" actually mean?

If you feel the need to explore in more depth, who you are, what you want from life, to make sense of the things that have happened to you, or in the world around you, or simply want to lead a more fruitful, rewarding and meaningful existence then please read on.

Spirituality and “being spiritual” means different things to different people and can be a very difficult concept to pin down. Probably the best place to start is what it definitely is not in the context of this page and the Spiritual Coaching programme that I mention at the bottom of the page.

Being spiritual isn’t about religion or being religious, though for some people spirituality will sit comfortably  along side their religious beliefs. Neither is it about having contact with the departed. The term "spiritualist" often refers to someone who claims to be able to contact people “on the other side” and whilst spirituality explores dimensions that you might not be familiar with at the moment, in this context it isn’t about the type of work that might be carried out by someone who would call themselves a medium for example.

Being Spiritual in coaching terms for me is about developing a new perspective on life, the world around us, the events that have shaped our lives and continue to do so. But most importantly it’s about gaining a new understanding of ourselves, what drives us and inspires us whilst at the same time identifying our authentic heart felt desires, what we truly want from life.  It's about making sense of things that may have confused us for many years about why our life has taken the course it has, and whether or not we believe we can shape our future or if, to some extent at least, it is pre-determined (it isn't of course but it can sometimes feel that way, and the Spiritual Coaching programme explains why).

Ultimately what we gain from this new understanding is what I call the ability to "live on purpose" and take our life forward with intention and in alignment with our true self and our heart felt desires, basically living an authentic life with clear purpose and meaning.

Who might benefit from Spiritual Coaching?

The short answer is anyone and everyone! However, there will be certain people or people in a particular part or phase of their life that feel something is missing, they might feel lost or adrift or simply stuck in a rut.

It's also likely people who have encountered a difficult or challenging period in their life. Often a series of unexplained or unexpected events that were out of our control can make us question;

“Why is this happening to me?”

Many people that seek a more spiritual path have found themselves thinking for a long time that age old question; “What is it all about?” or “Why am I here?”  Deep considerations and reflections on that basic human sense of “who am I?”

The above thoughts and feelings are often accompanied by a desire to clarify a new path, new aspirations or goals perhaps. These might be quite specific or singular, but could also relate to seeking a whole new way of living. For some people it is simply wanting to explore and understand more about “being spiritual.”

What are the benefits?

Discovering your spiritual path and understanding what that involves will help you to evolve and grow in all areas of your life.

You may set yourself free from the confines and perceptions of the life you think you “should” be living. Whether that has been dictated by your family, upbringing, culture, peer groups, past experiences or wider society, this programme gives you the opportunity to identify and live your life as your true authentic self, the real you.

It will enable you to find and connect with a “higher self” one that is less fearful, more passionate about day-to-day life, inspired and much more aware of your own unique talents and abilities and how to realise their full potential.

We also cover what is known as “rapid skill acquisition” a way of taking on something that you’ve always wanted to do and never felt confident enough to do so.

Overall, it will give you a deeper insight into what makes you tick and how to live in harmony with the people and the world around you and events as they unfold.

To live in alignment with your values and beliefs and find an inner peace you might not have experienced before.

What's in the Spiritual Coaching Programme?

Following your enquiry we'll have a discussion about the programme either via phone or videocall and once you’ve decided that the programme is for you the first thing we do is the “intake” questionnaire. We'll then have six 1-2-1 coaching sessions.

Following the completion of the questionnaire at session one we will establish where you think are in life at this time, where you want to be moving forwards and what barriers, fears and worries you perceive to be in your way.

We’ll also look at your achievements, your values and beliefs and how you feel currently, mentally, emotionally and physically. In the following five sessions we will cover:

  • Understanding the benefit of learning to live in the present moment
  • How to develop, harness and maximise the power of your own intuition
  • Identifying your authentic self
  • Understanding Identity Death, when and how  it happens and what it means
  • Learning about the terms; “energy” “vibration” “oneness” and “synchronicity” "sub-conscious" and their relevance to spiritual development
  • How to overcome self-doubt, distraction and procrastination
  • Understanding the power of the mind and how to connect with your subconscious
  • Learning how to use "rapid skill acquisition"

In the last session we will finalise your “Spiritual Journey” action Plan.
