Personal Consultancy Coaching -
How does it differ to other forms of coaching?

The one to one coaching in this area of our service is provided by Martin Ousley, a highly experienced and qualified Coaching Psychologist who has been working in private practice for over fifteen years.  Following his Psychology Degree Martin qualified in the specialist field of coaching known as Personal Consultancy.  Having attained the Post-graduate Certificate in Integrative Coaching and Counselling he became one of the first groups of coaches in the UK to achieve this qualification.

Personal Consultancy Coaching is the only recognised form of coaching that enables the coach to utilise both coaching and, when appropriate, counselling techniques when working with a client.

This can have enormous benefits for the client, being able to utilise these two important areas of personal support and development in one setting enables the coach to work with clients in a far more effective way.  Issues that may have previously been preventing a client from achieving the full potential from the coaching process can now be overcome within the combined coaching and counselling framework.

What are the benefits of Personal Consultancy Coaching?

Listed opposite are just some of the benefits that can be gained through personal, one to one coaching.

A sense of empowerment

Clients often refer to finding a sense of empowerment they have never experienced when they undertake coaching of this nature.  Even though you are taken through the process by a skilled coach, every gain you make, every goal you achieve is down to you and your actions, the success is your success, you own it.

Clarity

Things will become clearer, where you once may have felt that your way forward was shrouded in a constant swirling fog coaching will help you to clarify not just your goals but also the path to achieve those goals.

Seeing is believing as they say so it's no surprise that with this new found clarity comes an increased sense of self-belief.

Long-term solutions

The self-coaching techniques you will learn and the experiences you will gain through the process will provide you with a new found knowledge that you will be able to use in all aspects of your life for the rest of your life.  Coaching equips you with long-term solutions and skills for life.

Positivity & Balance

Learning to become solution focused is one of the most productive and healthy skills that anyone can develop. Each and everyone of us has the ability to change what might be our negative and sometimes destructive thought patterns into a far more rewarding positive outlook.  With this change comes a far more balanced approach to problems and difficulty.
